Lead in the Water

  • The Office Coffee Shop 402 South Lafayette Avenue Royal Oak, MI, 48067 United States (map)

Humbled by droughts on the west coast, flooding in the middle of the country and the all-too-close-to-home situation in Flint, join us as we explore our personal relationship with water, the politics surrounding it and the Jewish tradition's connection to it.

We'll be hearing from a community organizer on the ground dealing with the Flint water crisis, will be engaging in small group text-study and discussions, and will learn what we can do to best be of help to those in need of fresh water.

Coffee and snacks will be served, and we'll be collecting jugs / cases of bottled water and filters that will be donated to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan in Flint.
