Addicted: Opioids and Jewish Wisdom

  • The Office Coffee Shop 402 South Lafayette Avenue Royal Oak, MI, 48067 United States (map)

How are opioid use and addiction impacting our community? What is being done to stem the tide? What can you do to make a difference?

Join The Well as we discuss all of these questions and more with our esteemed panel of experts:
-Judge Edward Sosnick, the first presiding judge of Oakland
County’s Family-Focused Juvenile Drug Court
-Dr. Elise Gilbert Aronowitz, a licensed pharmacist with deep
experience related to opioid issues
-Dr. Shawn Achtman, a pain doctor who specializes in
physical medicine and rehabilitation

Our evening will open with Josh Roberts sharing his personal story of addiction and recovery, and we'll also have the chance to explore Jewish wisdom that can inform our reaction and response to the opioid epidemic with The Well's Rabbinic Intern Jeff Dreifus.

No cost to attend due to the generosity of donors. Join us!
