Introducing… Shabbat Night Out 2022!
Are you gathering with friends on a Friday or Saturday night in 2022? Would a Shabbat or Havdallah dinner help to elevate your experience? Let us know and we'll make it happen!
Here's how it works:
1. You make the plans and invite your friends to gather (could be a concert, theater show, sporting event, a night in, or anything else you come up with!)
2. Email Marisa or fill out the form below with the details of your gathering (date, time, location, number of guests planned, etc.)
3. Receive materials to help support your Friday night Shabbat dinner or Saturday night Havdallah.
4. Take at least 2-3 photos of your gathering and submit them with your attendance information.
5. Receive reimbursement for $10 per person, up to 10 people!
A few other notes:
Gatherings need a minimum of 5 people to be eligible for reimbursement. If more than 10 people are present, reimbursement will max out at $100. ($10 per person up to $10 people.)
COVID-19 protocols as recommended by the CDC should be followed at all stages of the gathering (ie. mask wearing in public, social distancing, limiting numbers of guests indoors, etc.)
Shabbat or Havdallah dinners can take place at your home: homemade, potluck, or catered in, or out at a restaurant before or after your planned activity. The important thing is that you share in Jewish ritual and celebrate Shabbat or Havdallah in a meaningful way.
This opportunity is open to any Jewish young adults and their friends in the Metro Detroit community. You do not have to be affiliated with a Well Shared Interest Group or any particular program to participate.
